Writing
My main craft and passion is creative writing, and I have honed this craft for over a decade. Below you will find synopses and sample chapters for my long-form fiction manuscripts. Most of these are currently in progress.
Bread & Circuits is a swashbuckling queer sci-fi adventure novel set in deep space. Meet an underemployed asteroid miner, a ruthless alien space pirate, and their gang of oddballs as they travel the galaxy.
Little Boxes is a suburban fantasy novel about a society of two-inch-tall humans living amongst us. A young hunter travels across the American countryside on a quest to save her village.
Reds, Whites, & Blues is a post-apocalyptic urban fantasy novel, set twenty years after a magical cataclysm that topples civilization. A diverse set of factions comes into conflict over resources and ideology, told through the stories of the normal civilians caught in the middle.
The Treespooners is a coming-of-age YA novel about a group of teens, banding together to stop the demolition of their favorite stretch of woods. Watch them come to terms with each other’s wildly different upbringings and do their part; if not to save the planet, to at least save their little slice of it.
Hard Marks is my first longform story, which I began working on in middle school. It’s a gritty crime drama, set in an American high school.
Bathers In Violet is a dark fantasy/sci-fi romance novel. A tale of two women caught on opposite sides of a grim civil conflict in which there are no innocents.
Dead Flowers is an urban fantasy YA novel, about a high school mean girl who falls through a portal in her classroom into a world of Feyfolk and magic, where ideas shape reality. Seeking supernatural power, she makes dark bargains with forces unseen.
