Plays
When I was in high school, I wrote a short play called Action Hero which was performed and directed by fellow students.
Action Hero is a short three-man play about a pair of mobsters. On the run from the boss of their syndicate and hard up for cash, the two stage a daring bank robbery. Their plan is perfect, with one minor snag - The stickup man’s favorite movie star happened to show up in the middle of the heist.
While I wrote the original script, much of the comedy of this play can be attributed to the lovely actors and director, all of whom were fellow students. It’s a small thing, but seeing it still warms my heart. Action Hero was also nominated for a national youth playwriting competition.
A recording of this play is available on Youtube, and I still think it’s cute.
